Julia is a PhD candidate in the joint CMCC/UNIBO program “Future Earth, Climate Change and Societal Challenges” under the supervision of Doroteaciro Iovino.
Julia is studying Arctic and Antarctic sea ice variability using global ocean reanalyses and coupled climate models. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Moscow State University,
Russia in Oceanography and Climatology. Julia’s Master’s research focused on air-sea turbulent heat fluxes response to the changes in the Arctic sea ice cover.
